Last year in December Sulvaris was able to successfully co-granulate our Micronized Sulfur Technology (MST®) and Urea by partnering with Applied Chemical Technology (ACT), an industry leading specialty fertilizer research and development engineering firm, to produce a Urea MST® fertilizer at a small commercial scale.
This product is now being analyzed in our labs and applied in field trials to explore nutrient use efficiency benefits and crop yield potential. Sulvaris believes that the appropriate use of novel fertilizers will play a major role in improving nutrient use efficiency and nutrient management to deliver on global environmental objectives while enhancing the grower’s bottom line through strong yields and increased efficiency.
The 4Rs Nutrient Stewardship framework is the concept of applying the “Right” fertilizer source at the “Right” rate, at the “Right” time and in the “Right” place. Our MST® products provide an enhanced source of elemental sulfur that slowly releases so sulfur stays in the right place and release nutrients at the right time to match crop nutrient uptake. Field trials and lab testing allows us to further explore other pathways of nutrient use efficiency and recommend best application methods of the product to maximize nutrient stewardship.

MST is uniformly distributed throughout each granule of Urea MST® produced at ACT as seen below.
