CALGARY, Alberta | Sulvaris is pleased to announce the nationalization of its novel MST® platform technology related to a ‘Process for producing phosphate fertilizer with micronized sulfur’. The resulting phosphate MST® fertilizer achieves a homogeneous distribution of slow-release micronized sulfur throughout a triple super phosphate (‘TSP”) granule in a novel way to produce a fertilizer product which decouples phosphate and sulfur from a nitrogen source to optimize nutrient use in the soil, ensuring sustainable practices for the long term.
“This is an important step in Sulvaris’ long-term strategy to scale our innovations globally,” said Jake Underwood, President and CEO of Sulvaris. “By nationalizing our PCT application into key jurisdictions, we are laying the patent foundation needed to bring our technology to agricultural producers, industrial partners, and sustainability-focused stakeholders around the world.”
The nationalization process extends Sulvaris’ intellectual property footprint for TSP MST® into North and South America, Africa, Europe, and Asia, enabling Sulvaris to pursue patent rights in markets that represent the majority of global agricultural phosphate production and consumption demand.
Sulvaris will continue advancing its patent strategy as examination proceeds within each national or regional patent office.
